Testimonials – Fairfax Electrician Reviews
"S & S Electric has won out trust and confidence over the last 6 months because of the excellent work they have done on 3 projects. We first contacted them last October and had them install new electrical lines to the 2nd floor and install 9 new outlets — 2 of which are dedicated lines. The results were exactly what I needed to run heaters, a computer, a television, small refrigerator and microwave. The rooms had been used for storage. Now they are functional. In February, S & S Electric installed a 20kw whole house generator with an automatic transfer switch. It is also hooked up to a monitoring system that will notify them if the generator needs servicing. I feel secure knowing that we can keep the household running when we suffer a power loss. S & S Electric recently completed the 3rd project when they installed a 20amp circuit from the pool to the gazebo. This involved digging a 60 ft trench to lay the electrical wire. They also installed a ceiling fan and 2 outlets in the gazebo. I’m very satisfied with all of the work they have done and their responsiveness to their customers needs. Their prices are good too. S & S Electric is the first ones I will call for any future electrical work."

"Steve and Dave installed my Generac generator a few years back and my family and I were very pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. I’ve had them now on maintenance contract for the generator and have used them several times for other jobs. Would highly recommend them."

"Steve and Dave contacted me prior to arrival and estimated a 11am arrival. Got right to work on the outside receptacles. I was having two installed one in front of house and one in back. Also included in the deal was a whole house inspection.
Steve and Dave were very professional and efficient. Completed outside receptacles and cleaned up after themselves. Steve explained the need for two additional smoke alarms. (one on first floor and one in basement.) Also gave some advice on our circuit breaker box. Ask for an estimate on a heavy up. Steve wrote up quote and stated for everything it would be $1975. this included all work and wiring outside with box being relabeled and wired. Quote good for 30 days. May wait till spring to get the heavy up completed as it is not a safety issue."

"As many of you that live in a townhouse know the 3rd floor can be quite hard to keep cool. Many of you like me have small ac units in your bed rooms upstairs trying to keep them cool. Sending tons of unneeded money to the local electrical company. My master bed room faces the souther sky and during the summer and this keeps the ac cranking. On many days the temps upstairs reach a temp in the low 90′s. My ac unit set at 75deg and it can not keep up.
So I did a quick google search and found a company that’s main focus is attic fans and other electrical jobs. They say an attic fan can save you money every month by helping to keep the attic cooler thus helping keep the whole house cooler throughout the summer.
I contacted S & S Electric out of southern Maryland. They were quick to respond back and were helpful at answering my questions.
They gave me a window on when they would show. Unlike the cable company, They were on time within that time window, and called when they were about 45 mins out.
When they showed, they told me what they would do and wasted no time getting to work. Nothing like a hot August day to be working on a roof and in an attic.
The pricing in my mind was fair. $475. My original plan was to buy the fan, call a roofer have it installed, then call in an electrician to wire it in. The time and effort that this would have taken may have saved me 50-75 dollars, but in my mind this was a better option. My Personal time is money.
While the guys were here I had them go ahead and hard wire a whole house fan that I had put in to the attic back in the spring. The cost was $125, And that was ok by me.
Install time for the attic fan: about 1hr. Install time on whole house fan wiring: 30min.
Overall I was very happy with S&S electric and would recommend them for your project."
